TECUMSEH HS50 5 HP HORIZONTAL SHAFT ENGINE USED OFF OF SNAPPER I522- ELECTRIC STARTER. Good engine, runs with gas sprayed into carburetor-may need tune up/carb work- starter is good. 2 shafts- 2 1/4″ with 3/4″ diameter- Keyed only; other shaft 13/16″ long with 1/2″ diameter- tapped and keyed. Would consider pulling starter off to sell separately for a lower price. NO OIL, NO OIL.

Engine starts easy and idles well at high and low rpm. Compatible with all HS828TA track drive and HS828WA wheel drive models. Has the electric start motor that also works great! Engine runs super quiet. Fuel tank is super clean and corrosion free on inside. Shaft is 0.99″ diameter x 2.35″ machined length (2.6 overall) with key slot. I understand this engine to be compatible with many Honda Tillers and Generators. Ready to mount and go!

Tecumseh 143 Series Engine, #143.975001, This engine was taken off of a Craftsman 5/20 2 stage snowblower with a bad auger trans. And ran before removal, This engine can be used on many other machines that use a 5.0 engine bolt pattern and 2-3/8 L – 3/4 shaft, the key slot runs the length of the shaft as pictured, belt guides are included, pulleys have been removed and are not included. Engine has been cleaned & painted in some areas, has been tested and checked, spark plug has been cleaned or replaced. Engine has been used and is in overall great shape.
