This is a new never started Engine. Never had oil or gas. It does gave grease and oil on it because it was stored filled up in a pile of motors. The top cover has a dent in it and it has scratches and scuffs. I have put some of these Engines on push mowers and they all started right up. I have not had a problem yet. This come out of a small engine shop that has been closed for a while. What you see is what you get any questions just ask.
This listing is for a vintage Tecumseh HM80 that I bought some years back as a backup engine for a minibike of mine-but it’s just been taking up shelf space and it needs to go to someone else who needs it. It needs the carb serviced at a minimum from sitting as I’m sure the rubber seals are dried up-and there’s obviously not a fuel tank. Someone before me butchered the shroud-but those are easily sourced or someone could repair this unit if they wanted. It fires easily on starting fluid and will be a serious runner as all these old HM80’s are known for. I do NOT know what this engine was originally on as it’s a strange color green. Photos show condition of this motor-nothing hidden or covered up. This will be a great engine for whatever you could use it for.
Came off my Simplicity 8hp snow thrower works great electric start and starts right up runs like it should. Motor has plenty of power. It wants to run away because its not bolted down just resting on the ground Runs clean. If you want a good running motor look no further than here.
For sale is a 7HP Sno King snowthrower engine with electric start. Engine does run, but poorly. Surges and pops when running. Leaks a small amount of fuel as well. Most likely needs a new carburetor but that is a guess. Seems to have a small PTO oil seal leak as well. Does have a single wire stator for a headlight, but do not know if it works. Electric start does work.
