Here’s a good complete trac drive and tranny assembly that came off a 1992 Craftsman 524 track snowblower. The Model # 536 series fits Noma models as well, so check your application. This is the original OEM unit and is in good usable shape and still worked well on the blower. This a good complete unit–thoroughly lube and bolt up, with good bushings, chain and sprocket, and bogey wheels. The sprockets and chains do show some minor surface rust, but the links are still pliable. The rubber track drive still show deep tread and aren’t cracked or badly worn like so many. They aren’t overly stretched, and still worked well on the blower. They are belted, reinforced corded tracks, and should have a lot more usable seasons left on them. The tranny works like it should with good action forward and reverse. The original friction wheel shows cracking and wear , but still worked on the blower. I would recommend a replacement disk at this stage. This blower had been inactive for some time and all zerks , chain/sprockets, and hex shafts need a thorough cleaning and lube prior to installation. Included is the good bottom plate.. This is still a good unit for your Craftsman or Noma 523 hard working everyday snowblower. Certainly great for spare parts on these great ol’ Noma Canadian made blowers. Please look for more usable parts off this 523 snowblower in my other auctions. Now is the time to fix or renovate the blower before next season starts! These make great tank robots too, and can handle rough terrain easily! These are very heavy duty! I recommend a more thorough cleaning and complete lube job prior to installation.
