The extra cc makes a huge difference over the 200cc engines. It’s easy to maneuver, has tons of power. Goes through deep snow and heavy packed piles easily. The only thing I wish it had is a small LED light. That would be nice. I can get used to the manual chute. Powerful machine however wheels too narrow. Works very well, however, for such a powerful, commercial machine, Toro should have installed wider wheels with larger treads. I’ve found it often unstable and sliding sideways during operation. Works great and has the power you want and need. So Far So Good. Setup was easy, though I’d recommend down loading the complete manual and printing it, which I did, before beginning to assemble and setting it up, if you have the capability. I have several battery powered yard tools and replaced my 15+ year snow pup with a battery powered snow blower based upon my positive experience with other battery powered products. I bought the 821 after many many years of owning Toro snow blowers and this one keeps up with the amazing capabilities of toro machines. Handled 10 of snow with ease. Runs on a tank of gas for hours and hours. Gave my 30 year old Toro snowblower.. Gave my 30 year old Toro snowblower that still worked great to our son. This new one was even better. Big power from a small package. The 821 R-C has exceeded my expectations. I have used much larger two-stage machines for many years of Minnesota winters, but this time I decided to take a chance on the largest single-stage machine out there. Blew me away, throws snow further, and powers through the heaviest wet snow, and deep frozen ice with ease. I have not needed more than one pass regardless of conditions. Toro 821 RC The first series in this model. Nice snow blower, it’s light and comparable to the 721 RC however it does have a slightly bigger engine and performs slightly better.
