Their’s a turning brake for each individual track as a trigger switch on the bottom of the control handles. A pull of a trigger on the same side as the track stops it’s motion and has the machine effortlessly turning 180-degrees “on a dime” ready for the next cut. I’ve used mine for many years in the Williamsville NY area and it’s only signs of wear are the front cutting edge and the side skid plates.
