I have a nice TECUMSEH 9hp cub cadet HM90 156012B 6208 R HORIZONTAL SHAFT ENGINE This engine came off of a cub cadet LEAF/stick SHREDDER mulcher as shown in last two pictures.
Will need carburetor replacement or rebuild. It started and run with fuel sprayed in carb. NO SPARK PLUG INCLUDED. Best to replace fuel lines and primer hose.
Missing carb and governor rod linkages. And air filter box engine runs with no smoking. Muffler sputtering from what i can tell is due to air fuel mixture is off due to no carb linkage.
I pulled from Yard Machine Blower that auger drive was damaged. The motor has been sitting so rather then fiddle with carburetor I installed a new one and the engine started frist pull. I replaced the recoil start rope and the starter was no good.
This listing is for a USED Tecumseh HMSK80 8HP Short Block. This is in good overall condition. This was removed from a running snowblower. The cylinder walls are in good shape. No heavy scratches or excessive wear marks. The head will need to be re torqued and will need a new head gasket more than likely. There is no damaged threads. The crank is good. No odd sounds when it was running and did not smoke. Cylinder walls have been coated with oil to prevent corrosion. Look closely at each photo and compare.

The issue is I broke a bolt pulling the head to show the cylinder walls. It is seen in the photo’s. Look closely at each photo and compare.
