As a typical man, I failed the first 15 minutes due to not reading the directions. Once I opened the directions, it was smooth sailing. Used it once so far this year and it was awesome. Pushed through the snow easily and easy to maneuver. Best thing I ever bought. So after a bit of snow (10 inches) in the beginning of October here in Colorado I decided that I should get one. I did not need a big one as I only have a small driveway for two cars. But there is an incline to it and so shoveling can be tricky. At first I was looking at the others. But I decided to get this one based on the fact that it was self propelling and also has steel (not plastic) augers on the from and look at those teeth! The assembly was basic and well mapped out. Runs great, the 1st gear reverse is pretty low but that may be a benefit when conditions worsen. Gets The Job Done. First time I’ve needed to blow snow in October! Assembly was a bit of a pain and took some time so make sure to have this thing put together well in advance of needing to use it. Overall a great machine for the price. Easy to assemble and started quickly. Haven’t used it yet but build is good. I just got my snow blower on October 14, 2020 (decided to beat the winter rush). Apparently the models built this year are different from previous years. There is no air filter and the machine appears to be built with mostly metal parts to replace the plastic. The assembly was not difficult at all. So I was really taking my time. But over all relatively easy experience. Once I was done I put in some gas and oil and fired her up. She started in one pull. Like I said I haven’t tested it in snow yet obviously, but so far so good. The only things I’d say they should improve are the skid shoes. The holes don’t line up well. Also the rubber grip for the shoot crank comes off easily. Neither are deal breakers. Just something to keep in mind. I’ll come back and update after this season. But this rebuild appears to be pretty good. A good Snow Blower. Difficult to assemble the skid shoes. Predrilled holes did not line up well. They were nice and sent me one 3 weeks later, but a new product shouldnt need parts before you even use it. Bought at so was already assembled. The Yardmax two stage snow blower worked well in all types of snow. From light and fluffy to wet and heavy. Even the heavy slush the road plows push into my driveway.
