For sale is a 7HP Sno King snowthrower engine with electric start. Engine does run, but poorly. Surges and pops when running. Leaks a small amount of fuel as well. Most likely needs a new carburetor but that is a guess. Seems to have a small PTO oil seal leak as well. Does have a single wire stator for a headlight, but do not know if it works. Electric start does work.

” This was maintenance tune up and started 4 years ago has been stored in the garage ever since only used a couple times like new condition Big auger in front (the horizontal spiral that breaks up and feeds snow in) Separate impeller behind the auger (the fan-like wheel you can see inside the housing – that’s what throws the snow out the chute) Murray Blizzard is a beast-27 inches of clearing width on an 8HP Tecumseh means it laughs at 12-18″ drifts like they’re nothing. It’s built like the tanks they used to make back in the day, not some lightweight import that’ll fold after one season of Ohio slush. Folks love’em for the price-over 400 five-star reviews say it throws snow 30 feet and handles light-to-moderate jobs fine-but yeah, the consensus is they’re crap cheap parts. Chinese-made engines (often OHV clones) that burn more gas, plastic chutes that crack in freezes, and belts that snap mid-storm. Way more durable steel housing and that old-school Tecumseh-parts are still everywhere for peanuts, and it’ll outlast three of those Walmarts.
