This classic 1979 Ariens 924038 snow blower, originally my Dad’s and later passed to me, is now available as I need a smaller model. It’s a gas-powered, self-propelled unit with a 24-inch clearing width, featuring a 5-speed transmission (rarely used beyond 2nd gear). It offers both electric start (with included cord) and recoil start options. The directional chute adjusts for throwing height and can hurl snow a good distance, keeping it out of your face. This appears to be a three-stage blower, equipped with good tires and snow chains, and includes one key. Note: It currently struggles to stay running and most likely requires a tune-up. Used in good condition but needs a tune-up to run reliably. Tires and chains are in excellent shape. If you would like to see more photos or have any questions, please feel free to ask. This is a nice old school Ariens cast iron auger gear set. The worm shaft is about 15 5/8 long and has a keyway, not spline. Helicon gear has a 1″ ID (I may also have the older 7/8″ ID gears if you need that type instead). Parts are in great condition with no visible wear or damage.
