Fits JD 420 Tractors (maybe others). This driveshaft fits the 46 snowblower typically used on the John Deere 420 tractor (and others). The driveshaft is 8-¼” total length, has the 1″-15 spline PTO yoke and a keyed 1 shaft yoke for the snow blower. I have also built driveshafts for other snowblowers (and all sorts of other equipment), shorter than this one. If this does not match your driveshaft, contact me. I have built several driveshafts to the customers dimensions. Very important to message me before purchasing so we can both make certain this item fits your application. I build replacement driveshafts for a handful of John Deere models. The original accessory driveshafts from John Deere are no longer available from John Deere, so custom machined and built replacement is usually necessary. The original driveshafts had no bearings in the u-joints and were just solid posts inside a hole. They didn’t even use replaceable bushings. This made these accessory driveshafts non-rebuildable and once they start making noise, they are worn out and likely to actually come apart when under load. I build these driveshafts to order. John Deere 47 Blower. This is a 47 snowblower that came off a 425. It will fit the 425 445 and 455. With other shafts and some parts it will fit other tractors as well. Will need a chain on the back of the blower. Bearings all seem to be ok and gearbox appears to have very little play. It has some paint peeling and rust but not rotted. Will need a chain.. Cables that turn the chute look ok. Both long shaft and short shaft have good tight u-joints. The end of the long shaft that goes thru the bearing assembly slightly worn but sure will work. I t comes as you see it. Priced to move I need the room. Please if you h ave questions feel free to ask. What you see is what you get. Nothing more and nothing less. All parts are listed as used.
