Model name / number: 47. Size / dimensions: 47x47x47. 47 john Deere snowblower housing and turret. I kept this housing because the sides were straight, this unit appears to have 2 (yes double) cutting edges. And the round barrel base is in good condition. This is rare to find all these features in good shape. Most blowers of this style are ruined by people blowing rocks and cement blocks thru the barrel. The lower holes where the arms mount are stretched out somewhat.. Can either use them as is with some extra washers, spacers or bolts or you can press them back to original position. This housing was worth saving. 47 and you have wrecked it blowing rocks or such.. Then this may be for you. John Deere Original Model 47 Heavy Duty 2-stage Snowblower that will mount on a model 420 or 430. This snowblower is in excellent condition and is the original early style 47 blower. Gearboxes run quiet and Hydraulic cylinders function properly, both lift and chute rotation. This early style mount is beneficial because it keeps the blower much closer to the tractor than the later quick hitch style mount. This unit is complete and has been rebuilt and painted by yours truly. Both the auger and gearbox fluids have been changed, the auger has brand new bearings and I used stainless steel bolts to reassemble. If used on a model 430 you would also need a tractor mounted front drive shaft extension and frame adapter bracket which are not included. Blower weighs about 375-425 lbs.
